Quote 1: "my father opened his mouth to say something, but his words dissolves into a long coughing spell."

Question 1: is her Father going to die?

Significance: I chose this quote because it really caught my eye how it said how he was barely able to talk from a disease he has had for a while but barely found out he had. It was shocking how he wasn't even able to say one sentence to his own daughter. this demonstrates her father dying because of his sickness. he use to be strong and healthy and now that his daughter had left he has barely been able to stand up.

Quote 2: "I have no reason to take a pregnancy test," I told her. "My husband and I, well, we're not trying"

Question 2: how does she get pregnant when she said that they haven't tried? is that possible?

Significance: I chose this quote because i thought it was interesting that she said that they haven't tried to have a baby and she ends up pregnant i didn't even think that was possible. The other reason this caught my eyes was because she might be pregnant and her father might die. I thought that it might be hard for her.
