Quote One: "I couldn't look into my fathers face."

I chose this quote because when I was reading this, it seemed to me that she was scared of her parents would be happy. But this quote shows how scared she is of her own dad and the only person she can trust is her husband. That can be bad.

Quote Two: "My mother said 'I saw it in a dream.' 'More like a fantasy' my father said. 'A wish, it was a dream' my mother said."

I chose this quote because it looks like to me that they have been waiting for this moment their whole life and it kind of is surprising. Knowing that everything their going through right now, it's very surprising. I like this quote because it shows how supportive they are and how much they care.

Significance: I chose these quotes because they really got my thinking about what's going to happen later in the book. i found them really interesting. The quotes show how much they know about each other.

Questions:
1. How much does this family really know about other to you?

2. How is she going to take care of her baby and her father?

To your first quote I liked your decision because It really shows how she doesn't have very many people to go to. It shows that she was in a "Catch 22" kind of situation because she can't trust her father and her husband is sometimes bad to her.

I liked your second quote because I've been in situations where i wanted fantasies of mine to be dreams. i think she said that because a dream is just a little more closer to reality than a fantasy. I've been in situations in my life where Fantasies of a better time weren't in my dreams.

For question one: I don't know what you mean by "about the other" so if I had to guess i would say based on her personality her family doesn't know much about it. sorry.

For question two: i think if she just clears her head and prioritizes her needs everything will work out and she'll be on top of things to where everything is taking care of. all she needs is clarity.
